The Basque Culinary Center and the Hotel María Cristina will be the enclaves of the city of San Sebastian chosen for collaborative dinners, OAD's hallmark.
San Sebastián is the city chosen by Opinionated About Dining (OAD) for its annual gala, the OAD Weekend 2019 , which will culminate in the announcement of the Top 100+ European Restaurant list at the Hotel María Cristina on May 20.
The celebration will begin the weekend with two special dinners in the framework of the Basque Culinary Center. On Saturday, May 18, some of the award-winning chefs on this 2019 list will collaborate and cook to offer a joint dinner. On Sunday night, May 19, a dinner will be held, as usual, that will feature the creations of the chefs who debuted on the list of the best European restaurants this 2019.
For the agape that follows the announcement of the Top 100+ European Restaurant list, Steve Plotnicki , founder of OAD, organizes a thematic collaborative dinner every year. In previous editions it has been possible to enjoy special dinners such as the Tapas de Altura, in Barcelona (2015); Nordic barbecue, in the gardens of Tivoli (2016); The Kitchen of my Grandmother, in Paris (2017) and The Great Asado, in London (2018). This year the central theme of OAD's main dinner is "La Noche del Asador", a special occasion in which some of the most outstanding chefs on the OAD list of the best Tradition and Product restaurants will cook together with some of the current chefs most innovative and surprising European The chefs of restaurants of Tradition and Product, like Elkano, Casa Julien and Rías de Galicia, will be present in this challenge that they will share with leading chefs like Eneko Atxa (Azurmendi) or Eduard Xatruch and Oriol Castro (Enjoy) , which will present interesting proposals .
